Racemi Names Senior Vice Presidents for Worldwide Sales and Business Development
Mark Timm promoted to lead sales initiatives and Steve Barriero to spearhead partner alliances for company specializing in cloud computing migrations
ATLANTA, April 25, 2016 – Racemi, a provider of automated server migration software, announces the promotions of Mark Timm to senior vice president of worldwide sales and marketing and Steve Barriero to senior vice president of global alliances and business development.
Partner alliances play a strong role in Racemi’s success and propelled the privately-held company that was founded in 2001 to its biggest year ever in revenues, which amounted to multi-millions, as well as sales bookings.
Timm joined the company in 2014 and was most recently vice president for strategic accounts. He has responsibility for all sales and marketing, including the global relationship with Amazon Web Services (AWS) that provides qualified AWS customers access to Racemi’s migration software at no cost. In October 2015, the agreement was expanded worldwide and the no cost offer was made available to AWS Partner Network (APN) Consulting Partners, as well. Timm has nearly 25 years of experience working in technology, of which nearly 20 are in sales, including positions with Microsoft, HP and Cisco Systems.
Barriero began working at Racemi early last year as vice president of global alliances and business development bringing more than 30 years experience at CA Technologies, HP and AT&T. Steve is a key resource on Timm’s team, and he will lead development of the strategy and execution plan with partners that include cloud service providers (CSPs) and managed service providers (MSPs) to accelerate the migration and onboarding of their end customers.
“In his short tenure with us, Mark has been instrumental in building relationships with our key partners, such as Amazon, along with helping big enterprise accounts like GE in their transition from on-premises data centers to cloud computing,” said Lawrence Guillory, CEO of Racemi. “Having Mark lead the sales and marketing teams will help us continue to accelerate on our record sales bookings last year, which increased 460 percent year-over-year, as cloud computing rapidly moves mainstream.”
Racemi, the moving company for the cloud, has been named a “Cool Vendor” and AWS Leadership Award winner, and has over 1,800 customers and partners around the globe.
