Mr. Guillory brings a unique entrepreneurial background to the Racemi team. Over the last 15 years, Mr. Guillory has held leadership roles in sales and marketing developing software companies. From 1994 –2000, he worked as a Software Development Manager for Brown & Williamson, where he was recognized for delivering over $5 million in software development projects, on-time and on-budget for three years running. Mr. Guillory co-founded Cpons.com, which grew into one of the internet’s largest online discount golf communities supporting more than 750 golf courses with 820,000 members. In 2001, Mr. Guillory began working for CheckFree Corporation, where he launched two new businesses, grew sales by 530 percent in the first two years on a single product line, drove the company’s flagship product from early adopters to a mainstream consumer base of over 25 million consumers, built a new emergency payments business, and turned around a flat-lined business for a seven-fold growth plan.
Mr. Guillory holds a bachelor of computer science and MBA training from Mercer University.
Mr. Watt has more than 30 years of experience in the implementation and management of complex software projects. Mr. Watt leads Racemi’s R&D efforts for our pioneering “platform agnostic” imaging platform. Prior to founding Racemi, Mr. Watt was Chief Scientist of S1 Technologies, Chief Scientist of SecureWare, and President of IIO Systems. He has designed and implemented internet financial applications, including the world’s first Internet bank (SFNB), military-grade secure operating systems, cryptographic products for email and IP networking, anti-virus products, medical imaging systems, robotic control systems and industrial controls.
Mr. Watt is a graduate of Dartmouth College (A.B., and B.E.) and the Thayer School of Engineering. He holds a master’s degree in electrical engineering.
Mr. Mewett brings more than 20 years of experience in the software development industry – including more than a decade of experience in the design, implementation and management of enterprise class software and services. Prior to joining Racemi, Mr. Mewett was an executive at Symantec, where he led the engineering management efforts for a web-based application framework that was deployed to thousands of businesses worldwide. Mr. Mewett has also served as Director of Engineering at Altiris, Chief Software Architect, and in a number of other senior management, architecture and development roles. Mr. Mewett has an extensive background in computer systems security and is a credited inventor of multiple US patents relating to network and computer security.
Mr. Mewett holds a bachelor of electrical engineering (computer systems) from the University of Queensland, Australia and a bachelor of information technology from the Queensland University of Technology.
Mr. Edwards has 25 years of finance and operations experience – including nine years with Ernst & Young, and 13 years in CFO, COO, and operations roles. Mr. Edwards has extensive experience with startup technology companies, and has completed many venture capital financings, mergers and acquisitions. As CFO of Recruiting Solutions at ServiceChannel and FieldView Solutions, Mr. Edwards managed both the financial operations and the successful sale of each company. In his role as SVP of Operations for the background screening division of First Advantage, Mr. Edwards led a team of more than 400 people on three continents.
Mr. Edwards holds a bachelor of science in accounting from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Mr. Timm manages worldwide sales and marketing for Racemi. Previously, Mr. Timm managed Racemi’s relationship with Amazon Web Services – which recently launched a no-charge migration program to Racemi’s industry leading server migration software. Mr. Timm brings a wealth of knowledge in sales in the IT industry to Racemi, gathered over 20 years at some of the top technology companies in the world – including Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Cisco Systems. While at Microsoft, Mr. Timm sold software solutions to some of the largest organizations in the Southeast. At Hewlett Packard, he utilized his knowledge of IT to sell consulting services to Global 500 corporations. Mr. Timm has extensive experience in developing and delivering go-to-market plans, managing sales executives and solution engineers, and delivering solutions to global accounts.
Mr. Timm holds a degree in computer science from Owens College.
Mr. Crump oversees the Global Professional Services and Presales Engineering teams at Racemi. Mr. Crump has dedicated his 22-year career to leading world class services and client success teams for high tech product companies, including IBM. In these roles, Mr. Crump has successfully implemented technology solutions for hundreds of the world’s most admired industry brands. Mr. Crump specializes in leading services teams through rapid change, growth and operational excellence. At Plumtree, he directed a global team to record revenue and profits – growing from $11 million to $30 million in three years. While at Vertafore he executed a global reorganization of more than 200 consultants, tripling margins and record revenues. Mr. Crump has also had the pleasure of working in leadership roles for other prominent companies including IBM, PointCast Networks, NetScout, and the consulting firm of Whittman-Hart.
Mr. Crump is a graduate of Valdosta State University, where he earned a degree in economics and has completed post graduate studies at the Anderson School of Business at UCLA.
Philip Eliot is a Principal at Paladin and focuses on investments in technology-driven companies in a variety of industries. Mr. Eliot has been working with early-stage technology companies since 2000, when he joined FBR Technology Venture Partners – a $200 million venture capital fund focused on software and telecommunications companies in the Mid-Atlantic region. Prior to joining Paladin, he was a Vice President at Core Capital Partners, where he led investments in software and infrastructure companies including SilverStorm Technologies (acquired by QLogic, NASDAQ: QLGC) and RulesPower Corp. (acquired by Fair, Isaac; NYSE: FIC). Philip began his career as a consultant at Dean & Company, working in the telecommunications and utilities industries as well as the firm’s private equity practice.
Philip earned a B.A. in physics with honors from Harvard University.
Mr. Hunter is a Managing Partner of Harbert Venture Partners, as well as a member of Harbert’s Venture Capital Investment Committee. Mr. Hunter joined HMC in 2002 and serves on the boards of Intelliject, Movero, Netsertive, PeopleMatter, Racemi and Unitrends – as well as the Florida Venture Forum, Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Investment Authority. Prior to joining Harbert, Mr. Hunter was a founding Managing Director and head of Wachovia’s Technology Investment Banking Group. He was also a member of Wachovia’s Private Equity/Venture Capital Fund Investment Committee and served on Wachovia’s Investment Banking Management Committee. Mr. Hunter has more than 20 years of experience working with leading entrepreneurs and venture capitalists in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. During his tenure in investment banking, he advised on more than 100 financing and M&A transactions totaling $24 billion. His mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory experience encompass the internet, software, IT services, communications services and equipment sectors.
Mr. Hunter holds a degree in law (J.D.) from the University of Alabama School of Law and a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University
Mr. Wethington is President of River Capital and Managing Principal of River Capital Partners. Before joining River Capital in 1984, Mr. Wethington was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Mitchell Steel – a large steel processing operation then a division of Fuqua Industries, Inc. Mr. Wethington and other members of management purchased the company in a leveraged buyout from Fuqua Industries and later sold it to Cargill, Inc. Prior to Mitchell Steel, Mr. Wethington was a senior manager with Fuqua Industries and Teledyne, Inc. Mr. Wethington currently serves as Chairman of Blue Wave Products, Inc., Five Star Manufacturing Company and New Image Group, Inc. – each a River Capital portfolio company. In addition, he has served as a director of both public and privately held companies in diverse industries including consumer products, food service, furniture manufacturing, general aviation, hardware distribution, manufactured housing, media, medical products and steel processing.
Mr. Wethington earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Kentucky, a master’s degree in economics from Western Kentucky University and a master’s in business administration from the University of Louisville.
Mr. Rodd brings more than 18 years of experience advising and building information technology companies as an investor, investment banker and corporate development executive. Mr. Rodd joined Milestone in January of 2009 and has ten years of venture capital investment experience, both in Silicon Valley and on the East Coast. He serves on the boards of Collections Marketing Center, IntegriChain, FieldView Solutions, Kindling, Identropy, Grovo Learning, Stray Boots, Mashwork and Cloudnexa. Mr. Rodd is currently a consultant for the Department of Defense as part of DoD’s Defense Venture Catalyst Initiative (DeVenCI) program, which is designed to increase the the department’s awareness of emerging commercial technologies that may be relevant to the objectives of the DoD and other federal agencies. Mr. Rodd represents Milestone in these endeavors.
Mr. Rodd holds a master of business administration from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He also holds a bachelor of arts in history from Wesleyan University. Mr. Rodd is an active fundraiser for St. Paul’s School in Concord, NH.
