Reduce Costs by Integrating Cloud Technologies in the Data Center Racemi Founder and CTO to Present at Upcoming Cloud Expo ATLANTA, April 19, 2010 – Data centers managers can significantly reduce costs by integrating private and public cloud technologies, according to Racemi founder and CTO, Charlie Watt who will speak next week at Cloud Expo in New York City. “Integrating Cloud Technologies into the Enterprise Data Center” will cover current best practices and address common issues, such as technologies available for implementing clouds, moving existing applications into the cloud and use cases that make the most sense today for cloud computing.

The session is Wednesday, April 21 at 5 pm Eastern and will include a model for dramatic cost savings. Watt is a patent holder for the first system to automate the allocation of server, network, and storage resources within the data center. He has also patented the first secure Internet server and one of the original blade server technologies. SYS-CON’s 5th International Cloud Expo will take place from April 19-21 at the Jacob Javits Convention Center in New York City with more than 5,000 delegates and over 100 sponsors and exhibitors participating in the conference. Cloud Expo is held five times a year in New York City, Silicon Valley, Prague, Tokyo and Hong Kong. More information is available at www.cloudcomputingexpo.com.

Racemi uses virtualization and data center automation technology to capture the entire “personality” of a system, including Windows, Linux and UNIX operating systems, applications and the storage and network configurations, in a single bootable image. This image has the ability to automatically migrate to dissimilar hardware, including physical and virtual systems, while maintaining the personality of the original server. Racemi, a pioneer in image-based provisioning, will enable this same technology for cloud computing deployments by allowing server images to be easily provisioned in and out of the cloud.

About Racemi

With built-in support for physical and virtual migration, disaster recovery, and image capture and deployment across dissimilar hardware, Racemi provides simply more.
